This Privacy Policy explains the ways in which any personal information we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by Carbon Call, a ClimateWorks Foundation-hosted initiative, and other third parties as set out in this policy. 

Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal information, how ClimateWorks Foundation (“CWF”, “We”, “Us”, “Our”) will treat it and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. This Privacy Policy applies to your access and use of our websites, applications, products, services and/or content on our websites (“Services”). Your use of a website indicates your acceptance of this Privacy Policy (the “Policy”). If you do not accept the terms of the Policy, you should not use a website.

Information Collection and Use 

We collect different types of information to provide and improve our services to you.

While using our websites, we may ask you to provide us with personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you (“Personal Data”), such as your name and email address. CWF will take all the steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of your Personal Data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of your data and other personal information.

Under certain circumstances, CWF may be required to disclose your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g. a court or a government agency). 

CWF may disclose your Personal Data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary:

  • To protect and defend the rights or property of CWF 
  • To prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Services

Security of Data 

The security of your data is important to us but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. 

Our Policy on “Do Not Track” Signals under the California Online Protection Act (CalOPPA) 

California law requires certain websites to let you know how they respond to web browser Do Not Track (DNT) signals. Because there is no current industry or legal standard for recognizing or honoring DNT signals, we do not respond to DNT signals at this time.

You can access, update, correct, or request deletion of your Personal Data directly within your account settings section. If you are unable to perform these actions yourself, please contact us to assist you. 

 You can withdraw your consent at any time where CWF relied on your consent to process your personal information. 

Please note that we may ask you to verify your identity before responding to such requests. 

Service Providers 

We do not sell Personal Data or share Personal Data with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Services (“Service Providers”), provide the Services on our behalf, perform Service-related services or assist us in analyzing how our websites are used. 

These third parties may have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on CWF’s behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose. 

Analytics 

We may use third-party Service Providers to monitor and analyze the use of our websites.

Children’s Privacy 

Our Websites do not address anyone under the age of 18 (“Children”). 

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from Children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

We may update the Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page. 

You are advised to review this policy periodically for any changes. Changes to the Policy are effective when they are posted on this page. Your continued use of a CWF Website means that you consent to our updates and amendments to the Policy. 

This Policy does not apply to any third-party sites that may be accessible from, or link to, our websites. Your interactions with these sites are governed by the third parties’ applicable privacy notices and policies.
