Run 'ping 127.0.0.1' and 'ping live.com' respectively, and then post the screenshots here.
Let's try to help you analyze the possible reasons together.

  • This made me curious and I must say, I would also want to learn more about this and the reasons behind why such issues exist. I think that will be really interesting to learn more about since I am not really a technical type of person if you may ask.

  • How do I fix Ping transmit failed general failure error?
    1. Run the Network Adapter troubleshooter.
    2. Flush the Corrupt DNS Cache.
    3. Set Windows to accept IPv4 instead of IPv6.
    4. Uninstall all the applications that stop HTTP traffic.
    5. Disable all IPv4 or IPv6 transition technologies.
    6. Reset your computer's TCP/IP.

    Regards,

    Will

  • If you are getting a "ping error" on your Windows server, it means that the ping command was unable to reach the specified destination. This can happen for a number of reasons, including network connectivity issues, firewall rules, or incorrect network settings.

To troubleshoot the ping error, you can try the following steps:

Check the network connectivity of the server by pinging the default gateway or another known-good host on the network. This will help you determine if the problem is with the server or the network.

If the network connectivity is good, check the firewall rules on the server to make sure that the ping command is not being blocked.

Check the network settings on the server to make sure that the correct network adapter is being used and that the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway are correct.

If you are still experiencing the ping error, try restarting the server to see if that resolves the issue.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.
