Problems downloading xlsx files from our Virtual Desktop client to the local computers

We use an Virtual Desktop environment in combination with our own software and Office. When we open Excel and try to safe files from the VM to the local pc (with de virtual desktop file transfer function that uses the SMB port) we get an error and the downloaded xlsx files can't be opened on the local pc. This problems also occurs with other Excel file types like xls and also with alternative office software (OnlyOffice, LibreOffice, Free Office, Open office.
It seems like every file type can be transfered without problems or errors. Other Office applications work fine. It really is an Excel problem and i can't find a solution. I think it has something to do with the back-up file that excel creates when you save a file.

In my view, this needs a deeper investigation and involving support team for debugging the RDS traces collected while reproducing the error. Plus involving office-Excel support as well. Azure technical support team will be able to check and help on this. I would recommend you to open an azure support case. If you don't have the ability to open a technical support ticket, please let me know I can help you further on this.
Note: Please make sure that you are on the latest MSRDC client version and both endpoint device and session host VM have the latest Windows updates installed.

2022-12-06T12:20:09.347+00:00 No errors when donwloading. There is an option in Azure virtual desktop that creates a virtual station that connects to the local pc for downloading and uploading files. It uses the SMB port for the file transfer.
