Overview of authoring a guide in the Dynamics 365 Guides HoloLens app

The second major step in the process of authoring a guide in [!includecc-microsoft] [!includepn-dyn-365-guides] occurs in the [!includepn-hololens] app. In [!includepn-hololens] Author mode, you complete these tasks:

• Anchor your guide.

• Place your holographic 3D content in a relevant space in the real world.

• Add dotted lines to visually link your steps to physical objects in the real world.

• Optional: Add styles to 3D content to add various treatments. For example, add a warning or caution.

• Test the flow of your guide.

  

[!NOTE] You can add a guest user in Dynamics 365 Guides for users that have an Azure Active Directory account but aren't members of your organization. Guest users can only operate guides in the HoloLens app; they can't author guides in the PC or HoloLens apps.
